HERMÈS
Rouge Beauty Brilliant Silky
For the launch of HERMÈS Beauty Rouge Brilliant Silky, we explored one question: what does a colour taste like?
Rather than interpreting colour alone, we translated the rituals of beauty into gastronomy. Selecting a shade became choosing a bite. Applying lipstick became painting with edible pigments. Colours, layers and textures became something guests could touch, taste and experience.
In the presence of Hermès Beauty Creative Director Gregoris Pyrpylis, two installations framed the experience.
Act I
A sculptural gradient of edible lipstick swatches moved from blush to crimson, each derived from cherry, beetroot, rhubarb and pomegranate. Guests are invited to select a shade and dip it into its matching sauce. Every colour derived from ingredients creating swatches that mirrored the translucency and finish of lipstick.
Act II
Guests are invited to paint with edible pigments onto a crisp white canvas before eating the artwork.
Act III
Three bespoke mocktails explored grapefruit, clarified watermelon, and cherry with rhubarb, accompanied by light bites and layered desserts.
